Due to the following factors, I'm closing commissions for a while:
1. My cat stole my tablet pen, which I haven't been able to find and now need to replace - not money I wanted to spend, but c'est la vie. This already has me backed up on the work I've got slated for me. Ridiculous, but it's true.
2. A family member is having surgery this week and I will have to balance caring for them with my main business, my commissions, and taking care of the Little Dame.
3. The entire Classy Family is buying a house, closing in just a few weeks, and we have to pack up everything and move - owning our own place is awesome, but it is definitely a time sink. I'm handling most of the business end of things, so I also have to schedule and attend inspections, closing, work with the bank, all that good stuff.
4. I already have plans on the table for several pieces with a couple folks and taking on any more would mean I can't afford the turnaround I generally like to. I never want to be one of those people who takes 6 months to finish a commission.
Commissions should reopen around the end of August at the latest. If you have already commissioned me or have my personal email address and are working with me on ideas and pieces, this does not apply to you. You folks know who you are.

Yes, I'm still alive.
Between this and business, I'm a very busy woman . . . I'm currently working on several different pieces for several different people. They should start to show up in my gallery shortly; including a special Halloween one and one for Thanksgiving. :) I haven't disappeared completely!
Once I've finished up that batch, I'll reopen commissions and will only keep them open til the end of the year, when they'll close indefinitely as a result of the fact that I'll be about done gestating this fetus thing I've got going on here. I don't want to end up taking on commissions I won't be able to finish in a reasonable amount of time. People I've worked
No username change here!
Because classy-dame suits me and suits my approach to all this. However, if anyone happens to see this who interacts with me and HAS changed their username, leave a message here and tell me who the heck you are, so I know for future reference.
I currently have a queue of 5 paid commissions; that's what's keeping me absent - and business is going well in my Etsy shop so I'm a very, very busy dame these days. If I haven't replied to your comment/message/email, don't worry - you're not forgotten. :) I'll get caught up soon!
Stay classy!
Some stuff about drawing/improvement
I've had a few people ask me for tips and stuff with drawing, and since I am not the world's greatest artist and I am still learning on a daily basis, I'd like to point folks to my tutorial/reference favorites folder here:

There's a ton of great stuff in there - posing, hands/feet, expressions, coloring/shading, and I think a tutorial on lineart. :)
The thing is, it's all of these (and a lot of just searching for tutorials on google, youtube, etc) that's lead me this far. I've taken everything that works for me and added it to how I do things. The way I color, for example, is s
Surgery, aka Where Is My Art, You Lazy Dame?!
So, I had unexpected surgery Friday to remove the fifth denizen of my uterus that's decided they don't want to stick around for the long haul. I keep telling the Little Dame that she's lucky she escaped that prison alive. I found out Thursday that it was a failure, and I haven't done anything since then because frankly, I'm more than a little depressed.
This means everything is seriously held up - from the Tanya/Erica series to the contest winners to the art I promised ~not-rick-astley (https://www.deviantart.com/not-rick-astley) like two or three months ago.
I'm going to start working again tonight, but probably slowly. Not because it's physically hard to sit on my ass and draw,
